With more than three decades of experience in health insurance, Jim started his career as a group health representative for Crown Life Insurance Company in 1973 when family rates were $13.50 per month. He later moved to Cigna as a group health specialist before moving on to Goss, Price & Associates in 1982, where he would eventually became a partner and sole stockholder.

Jim has managed group plans for over 30 years. Today, Jim is president and chief executive officer of Price Associates Insurance Services, Inc., a general agency in Fresno. He also speaks to diverse groups about the ever-changing environment of health care plans and the effects of legislation on them.

Jim has served on the CAHU board as President for the 2005-2006 term. In July 2006, he continued to serve on the board as the Immediate Past President. He has also served the board since 2000 as President Elect and Vice President of Legislation. In addition, he has been active in his local chapter, the Central California Association of Health Underwriters, serving on its board of directors from 1992-2001, including two terms as president.
